ORDERING

 

Q1: How long does it take to receive my order?

Please allow 6 weeks for completion of your handmade stationery order.  If you would like your order delivered to you sooner, please contact us to discuss your timetable and we will do what we can to accommodate this.

 

Q2: I've ordered the invitations, when should I order my wedding day stationery?

Ideally, we would like to receive your whole stationery order together which will allow us to balance our production, this ensures that you have been scheduled especially during busy periods.  If you are unsure of how many menus, for example, you would like, we can estimate this and then confirm numbers at a later date, prior to ordering the stationery to complete your order.

 

If this is not possible, and you would prefer to wait until your invitations are completed, we suggest we schedule this stationery no later than 6 weeks before your wedding.  This allows time to order the stationery, produce the design and get it to you a week before your Big Day!

 

Q3: Do you offer a sampling service?

Yes, we offer a sampling service on pocketfold invitations.  You can order these by selecting from the available colours online.  Please note that the price for invitations includes processing, postage and packing fees.  If the sample isn’t in your preferred colour, please let us know and we can send you a colour swatch that could match.

 

Q4:  I want to place an order, but would prefer to discuss it further, can you help?

Our office hours are 10am to 5pm Tuesday to Friday.  Please call to discuss your requirements, we are always happy to help.  If we are in production you may get our answerphone, please leave a message and we will call you back.

 

Q5:  Once my order is placed what is next?

Thank you for choosing us!  We will confirm your order detail in writing via email.  Depending on when you want delivery of your stationery and when you will have the required wording, we will suggest a timeline for design and production that is mutually convenient.

 

Q6:  How much should I order?

We recommend that you order 10% more invitations than you need.  This will allow you to add additional guests as space allows.  We cannot always turn around orders for additional items quickly (ie within a week or two) and your additional order will be subject to our minimum quantities.  It is therefore beneficial to have the extra items on hand.

 

Q7:  When is payment required?

We require a 50% deposit with your order, then the balance plus any shipping fees due prior to despatch of the items.

 

Q8:  Do you offer quantity discounts?

Most of our discounts are built in to our pricing structure, however we offer one free courier delivery on orders over £500.

 

We also offer substantial discounts on wedding packages, these are dependent on the number of guests and can be tailored to your requirements.  Please telephone or email us for further information prior to placing an order.

 

Q9:  How does the process work?

Once you have placed your order, received your order confirmation and we have agreed a schedule between us, we will be ready to start the production process. This is as follows:

-      We will agree a date that your ‘wording’ is sent to us and we compile the first draft proofs

-      Proofs will be emailed to you to consider, and revisions are made until they are as you require

-      We will have agreed a signing off date, so will require approval of your proofs by this date.

-      Only when the proofs are signed off by you do we print and assemble your invitations.

Meeting the deadline delivery dates very much depends on maintaining the scheduled dates for providing your wording, feedback and sign off.  If for any reason you may not be able to sign off proofs by the agreed date then there may be a delay in getting your order to you.

 

Q10: I don’t want to place my order online, can you help?

We understand that some customers feel more comfortable placing their order by telephone.  We will be delighted to take your order of the telephone and discuss any particular requirement you may have.

Q11: I like a particular stationery design but it is not in my colours, can this be changed?

We are happy to customise most of our designs to meet your needs, so if you see anything you like but it’s not quite right, then please contact us.  We can the discuss ways to make the design better suit your requirements.

 

Q12: You don't have the type of design I am looking for on your site, can you help?

We are happy to offer a bespoke service during quieter times of the year.  So if you like our style but can’t find exactly what you want, please get in touch and we can make something just the way you want it.  Please give us plenty of time and notice.

 

Q13: Can I buy the components and make my own stationery?

Q14: Do you offer custom services?

We are happy to offer a bespoke service during quieter times of the year.  So if you like our style but can’t find exactly what you want, please get in touch and we can make something just the way you want it.  Please give us plenty of time and notice.

 

Q15: Can I choose my own font?

When we create our designs we usually choose the font that we feel best suits the style of the invitation.  We will not, however, proceed with printing until you have give the final sign off, so if you are not happy with the font selection during the design process then we are happy to change this to meet your needs.

 

Q16: Can I choose my own custom wording?

We have suggested some wording on the website, some traditional and others that deal with different family situations.  Each invitation is unique to our customers and we are more than happy to use the wording of your choice when we are compiling your invitations.

 

Q17: Where can I get help with the suggested wording?

We have made thousands of invitations many of which deal with different circumstances.  Once you have placed your order and you are stuck with know how to word something, please let us know the ‘essence’ of what you are trying to say and we will help you with it as 9 times out of 10 we have come across this particular circumstance.

 

PAYMENTS & RETURNS

 

Q18: What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept all major debit and credit cards and personal cheques.  All online sample orders via our shopping are paid for in full when placing your order.  When placing orders online, other than samples, then a 50% deposit will be charged.  For cheque payments, please allow 10 business days for a cheque to clear and your order to begin processing.  Also please not that your debit/credit card statement will show the transaction as billed by PURELY EMBELLISHMENTS, this is our registered business name with the Inland Revenue, please ensure all cheques are made out to this name also.

 

Q19: What is your return policy?

Since all our orders are custom, all sales are final unless it is due to an error on our part which we will correct at our expense.

 

Q20: Is VAT included in your prices?

Yes, all prices quoted are inclusive of VAT at the prevailing rate.

 

Q21: I don't want to pay online, can you help?

We are happy to process your order and take your credit/debit card details over the telephone.

Q23: How much does shipping cost?

All orders over £500 are subject to one free courier delivery.  Orders below this rate are charged at cost up to the value of £9.99 for UK mainland weekday deliveries.  If you are outside UK mainland then we will charge you shipping at cost.

 

Q24: Do you deliver outside the UK?

Over the last year we have been delighted to ship our beautiful works of art to overseas customers.  Please do not hesitate to get in touch to discuss your requirements, we are happy to work with you on bilingual even trilingual stationery.
